Tata Motors has unveiled the new Curvv mid-size SUV ahead of its official launch on August 7. The Curvv will come with multiple powertrain options: petrol, diesel, and electric. Initially, the Tata Curvv EV (electric vehicle) will be released, followed by the Tata Curvv ICE (internal combustion engine).

Tata Curvv Key Features and Design

  • Body Style: The Tata Curvv has a unique SUV coupe design, unlike the typical boxy look of other mid-size SUVs. It draws design inspiration from the popular Tata Harrier and the flagship Tata Safari.
  • Exterior: The SUV features a raised ride height, muscular cladding, and dynamic proportions. Its sloping roofline helps reduce wind resistance. It has large wheels, high approach and departure angles, and increased ground clearance for a stable and balanced look.
  • Lighting: The Tata Curvv comes with an LED lighting system, including LED headlights, LED DRLs, and LED taillights. An LED strip runs across the width of the rear.
  • Wheels: The vehicle drives on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Tata Curvv Engine and Performance

  • Curvv EV: This version will compete with the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV. It promises a best-in-class driving range of over 450 km on a single charge.
  • Curvv ICE: Expected to have a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with multiple manual and automatic transmission options.

Tata Curvv Pricing and Availability

  • Colors: The Curvv EV will be available in Virtual Sunrise, and the Curvv ICE will come in Gold Essence.
  • Price Range: The Tata Curvv range is expected to be priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom). The Curvv ICE will range from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 19 lakh, and the Curvv EV from Rs 18 lakh to Rs 24 lakh.

Tata Motors promises that the Curvv will bring advanced technology and smart features to the mid-size SUV market, setting a new standard for the segment.
