  • Design: The Curvv features a unique coupe profile and will be available in both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) options. It’s set to compete in the compact SUV market against models like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, and Toyota HyRyder, as well as the Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and Citroen C3 Aircross.

Curvv EV Pricing and Competition

  • Price Announcement: Prices for the Curvv EV will be revealed on August 7th, following its debut on July 19th. It’s expected to start around Rs 20 lakh.
  • Competitors: The only current electric competitor is the MG ZS EV, priced at Rs 18.98 lakh. More competition will come in 2025 with the launch of the Creta EV and Maruti eVX, with Toyota also expected to release a version of the eVX.

Curvv EV Specs and Design

  • Positioning: The Curvv EV will be positioned between the Nexon EV and the upcoming Harrier EV in Tata’s lineup.
  • Platform: It will use Tata’s Gen 2 Acti.ev architecture, with more details expected on July 19th.
  • Range: The Curvv EV is likely to have a range of 450-500 km and will feature an advanced regenerative braking system to maximize range.
  • Exterior: The design includes a full-width LED light bar, polygonal headlight and fog light housings, and a blacked-out grille. It also features thick body cladding, squared wheel arches, flush door handles, chrome window trim, and sporty alloy wheels, all contributing to its standout coupe profile.

Curvv EV Features

  • Interior: The Curvv is expected to offer a wide range of features, including:
    • ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
    • Panoramic sunroof
    • Dual-zone climate control
    • Large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
    • Electronic parking brake
    • Premium leatherette upholstery in top variants

Curvv ICE Variants

  • Diesel Variant: Will use a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine from the Tata Nexon, producing 115 hp and 260 Nm, with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
  • Petrol Variant: Launching later, it will have a new 125 hp, 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Pricing and Rivals: The Curvv ICE variants are expected to start around Rs 10-11 lakh and will compete with models like the Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara, HyRyder, and Honda Elevate.
